Local radio personality Melanie Bala’s poolside photos will make you want to hop on a flight to Bali right now.
Melanie writes on Instagram: “Two years ago I planned to take a trip to Thailand for my birthday. The day before I was meant to leave, my father passed away. I was completely devastated. It’s been a very difficult two years.”
“Today, I spent my birthday at the Tirtha Empul Tampaksiring – a Hindu Balinese Water Temple. I made a simple offering and asked for guidance, clarity, strength, protection, peace, love and joy for today, and always,” she adds.
The veteran broadcaster enjoyed sightseeing from the backseat of a Jeep, lounging poolside, and lunch on the beach.
What could sound more idyllic?
TAKE A LOOK AT THE HOLIDAY SNAPS HERE:
I noticed these little stands all over the place and initially thought it was some sort of drinks vending machine. Turns out it’s a mini petrol station! In the villages where there are no garages, these are everywhere allowing people to fill up their scooters with ease! So cute and clever! 🔴🔵 • #instatravel #MellaTravels #Bali #travelnoire #travelgram #wanderlust #instants #chasingsummer
I could lie and say I’ve been doing yoga everyday on holiday, but it hasn’t happened, because, holiday. Finally made it to class with an amazing instructor, Lisa – right at the beach. My body thanks me. 😂 PS Would love to do a yoga retreat in Bali one day. #yogabythebeach #yoga #🕉 • #instatravel #MellaTravels #Bali #travelnoire #travelgram #wanderlust #instants #chasingsummer
