No Local Ghanaian Found on BET Awards 2018 Nominees List; Best International Act Africa & Europe Category Combined!

BET Networks has properly announced nominees for 17th edition BET Awards and can be found by CLICKING HERE

On the nominees list this year, rappers Kendrick Lamar, DJ Khaled and SZA grabbed the most nominees whilst the Best International act category has been combined, having both African and European acts on one list to battle for the said grouping. In previous years at the BET Awards, planners of the world’s biggest award show to honor black excellence had two Best International Act categories of which distinct African Acts from Black European acts.

Trust me, I (Monte OZ) can confirmed that, Black artistes in Europe and Africa has been put into one group, making the Best International Act category a very large one. Whoever wins this year’s International act awards is champion for both Europe and Africa at the BET Awards 2018. And with that being said, No music act from the republic of Ghana for reasons that I can’t explain made a cut on the nominees list this year.

The category for had 11 acts on deck to battle for the major win.

Here are the nominees for 2018 BET Best International Act as combined;

  • Booba (France)
  • Cassper Nyovest (South Africa)
  • Dadju (France)
  • Davido (Nigeria)
  • Distruction Boyz (South Africa)
  • Fally Ipupa (DR Congo)
  • J Hus (United Kingdom of Great Britain)
  • Niska (France)
  • Tiwa Savage (Nigeria)
  • Stefflon Don (UK)
  • Stormzy (UK)

Official host for the 17th annual BET Awards is yet to be announced. I personally can’t wait to see Kevin Hart or Queen Latifah hosting again!

The award show will officially go down on June 24, 2018 at the plush Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Live show airs at exactly 8pm ET. Stay glued on MonteOzLive.com for more BET Awards 2018 details, counting the performance line up, to be revealed soon.

Best of luck to all the nominees!
