kwame baahBismark Baah is a Ghanaian based musician popularly known with the stage Kwame Baah. He is currently the President of the renowned music group in Kumasi YBclick. Dope and lyrical with his dynamic style and punchlines, Kwame Baah is able to blend the Twi language with English in his rap. He is noted to have written all his songs and also writes for other artistes.

Born and raised in Kumasi, Kwame Baah is A 3rd year student pursuing Art in the University Of Education, Winneba.

In 2013, Kwame Baah was the Winner of King Of The Mics competition 2013, a rap competition organized by Luv FM in Kumasi to unearth talents in the youth. He went on to record 2 music adverts for latex Foam, who were the sponsors of the competition Latex Foam. Kwame won the Best Rapper at the Koss Student’s Awards 2009.

Kwame Baah has recorded more than 60singles since 2008 and has one album to his credit.

Fans have gone on to call him dopest Kid due to how He lays his bars with puchline and wordplay that keeps you thinking.

He claims he is actually the best rapper in Africa aside M.I Abaga. It broke online sometime back that Kwame was linked to free mason due to his choice of song titles some time back, but he came out to debunk that rumor and made it clear that, he chooses those titles because he finds them catchy.


Kwame Baah grew up in Kumasi, a city commonly known in Ghana as Oseikrom with his mother and siblings. His father, who happened to be the musician’s source of inspiration passed out when Kwame was only seven years.

The Rapper started doing music from infancy, of which he recorded his first tune in 2005. In 2007, Kwame gained admission to Konongo Odumase High School in the Ashanti Region where he met Hayford Benjamin Sedem (Co-Founder of YB Click).

He became friends with Sedem and they started the YB Click group together. After completion in 2011, Kwame went back to Tema where he started grooming himself for the commercialism in music.

He then released his first single titled 668 = Doomsday, which then become a community success underground. Since that time, Kwame Baah has released countless songs and been respected as one of the best word smiths to bring real ingenuity into the music scene.
