They definitely made a mark with their debut collection (Click here if you missed it); and now Wunmi Akinsola – Creative Director of emerging womenswear label Pearls & Portraits – is back with a Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
For their latest collection, the London-based label is taking on graphic prints, embellished fabrics and floral patterns to deliver chic and sexy pieces. The designer, Wunmi, also used toile de jour textile which was an inspiration for the collection.
“The decorative pattern focuses on field workers in the 18th century encompassing flamboyant florals making the garments beautiful and unique. Part of the range pays homage to the 18th century by incorporating hidden details of workers toiling the flowers”.
We noticed a theme of florals, from the prints to the embellishments that are very appropriate for Summer. From crop tops and blazers to dresses and pant suits, the collection has something for every woman.
